Materials for building new Optimist Clubs can be obtained through Optimist International. By filling out a new club building commitment form, the builder can request a kit, complete with charter membership invitations and other ideas to get you started.
The New Club Building Handbook published by Optimist International is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.
Once you've committed to build a club, getting the word out becomes the most important task.

A road sign can be very helpful in broadcasting the date and location of your meetings. These pictures show a homemade wooden sign with space left at the top to post information. They used legal-size paper, large-size font, and covered the notice completeley with clear sealing tape to withstand the weather.
